Our Program

Camp this summer will run out of the Torah Tots Preschool facility at 821 Hawkins Ave. in Lake Grove.

Camp Gan Israel was created to provide children with a comprehensive and meaningful summer program, while fostering growth individually and socially, in a Jewish atmosphere. The daily schedule includes an exciting mix of sports, field trips, special courses and activities, designed to be educational, fun and conducive to building character and nurturing friendships.

Here is a general overview of some of the exciting programs which will be offered in Camp Gan Israel at Stony Brook. Activities and programs below are subject to change, and will vary based on which division your child is part of. A detailed CGI program highlight calendar will be released prior to camp commencing.

Sports & Athletics

• Jump Bunch • Soccer shots • Karate • Gymnastics • Kiddie Yoga • Relay races • Scavenger hunts

Instructions will focus on the fundamental skills and understanding of the games. Supervised by our experienced instructors, children develop sportsmanship, confidence, and the ability to enjoy all sports, including baseball, basketball, football, kickball, creative movement, and more. Special attention will be given to promote good sportsmanship and teamwork.

Arts & Crafts

The campers will have the opportunity to design their own projects using an array of craft materials and various clays and ceramics under the guidance of our professional staff. Camp Gan Israel’s innovative arts and crafts teach the children to be creative and imaginative. The crafts incorporate various themes in Jewish life as well as fun and useful projects. Campers are sure to proudly look back at the craft of their own hands well after the summer is over.

Swimming

Mini Gan will enjoy swimming and waterplay onsite. Juniors will be taken to a swimming pool on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Jewish Pride

Camp Gan Israel is dedicated to enriching the lives of all children from diverse Jewish backgrounds and/or affiliations. Gan Israel gives the children a great camp experience, while at the same time, instilling a healthy dose of Jewish pride! One session a day is devoted to the Jewish Theme. Various programs include:
